Introduction to the Spot & General Billing Console

The hub for all billing related commercial activities, designed for use by the District Commercial Officers(DCO).

Introduction

The meter Spot & General Billing Console is the system that is designed to manage the activities and functions of the commercial unit at the district level. The Spot & General Billing Console (DCO Console) is to be used by the District Commercial Officers and their assistants to manage and plan readings, manage anomalies, exceptions as well as monitor the activities of meter readers in real-time. All users of the DCO system will login through the staff portal. The Spot & General Billing Console is the primary system for DCOs to manage commercial and related field service engagements. The key functionalities of the technical Services Portal are listed below.

• View and manage reading sets for postpaid meters

• View and manage postpaid meter readings

• View and manage reading anomalies

• View and manage reading exceptions

• View and manage uncaptured meters

• View and manage disconnection service orders

• View and manage reconnection service orders

• View and manage debt dockets

This document is meant for District Commercial Officers at ECG District Offices.

Prerequisites

To follow the content of this manual, the reader must have a thorough understanding of ECG's internal business processes. District Commercial Officers must also have basic computing proficiency to use the system.
