Manage Reading Sets

Viewing Reading Sets

The "Reading Sets" menu item on the left navigation menu list, presents a detailed view of the list of the reading sets generated for a given month and the various actions that can be performed here.

A reading set is an identical replica of the itineraries of a district for a given month.

The user may select previous months or a to show those reading sets.

To view the details of a reading set, click on the view icon on the record.

This triggers a modal pop-up with all the details of the selected reading set.

Filter Reading Sets

The reading sets page also has a filter. To filter the reading sets for the set period, click on the ‘filter’ icon (the funnel) at the top left side of the screen. This triggers a window that allows the user to select the parameters for filtering the reading sets. Click on “Apply Filter” to apply the selected filters to the records.

Click on “Reset Filters” to undo the filter selection. Click on “Close” to close the filter window.

Assign Reading Sets

An ‘assign’ button that allows the user to assign the reading set to a meter reader. The same assign button allows the user to reassign a reading set that has already been assigned.

Schedule Reading Sets

Users are able to schedule reading sets from the spot and general billing console. DCOs can update the dates for reading sets by clicking on the schedule button and selecting from the pop-up window the desired date ranges for a given reading set.

Once the date has been selected, click on the 'edit schedule' button to save the updates.

All reading sets have the same schedule by default.

Upload Readings

The 'upload' button allows users to enter reading values for meters in a reading set. Each reading set has a list of customers/meters for which readings need to be recorded.

Clicking the upload button presents a list of meters in the reading set with fields for entering the reading date, the reading value, anomaly or exception, and brief notes if any exist.

The reading set may be printed by clicking the print button at the top right corner.

After entering all the reading values for all meters in a reading set, click 'submit readings' at the bottom right corner to save them in the system.

Expand Reading Sets

Clicking on the expand button opens up the reading sets in a more detailed view.

This presents a list of meters in the selected reading set, grouped by property. The status of each meter can be seen here.

Clicking on the view icon presents a pop-up modal with the details of the selected meter.
